Creativity takes many forms
Whether it is on canvas, folded into an artistic creation, through spoken words or movement. Engaging others is the core of the Art & Soul of Jtown. The Nihonmachi Street Fair’s Art & Soul of J-town will be back this year to provide you an opportunity to create and see art unfold before your eyes.
Get ready to be inspired! We're unveiling a treasure trove of artistic talent from the AANHPI communities. Be prepare to be amazed by the beauty, depth, and diversity of their creations.
We are again partnering with Linda Mihara of Paper Tree, a family owned Legacy Business in the heart of J-town, who is a renowned Origami artist. She along with fellow origami enthusiasts will give Fair attendees the opportunity to create origami Hearts that will be added to our Hearts For Love campaign, as well as teach a Flying Crane which you can take home.
We will also be partnering with Studio Gen, the National Japanese American Historical Society, Washi Ningyo Artists to present exhibits/performances/workshops during the Fair. More info to come!
